About the Course

It is our philosophy that the best teacher on earth is nature itself. The formative years of childhood are critical to fostering and developing the skills and traits necessary for lifelong success. Modern childhood is very different from the childhood experiences of years past. Modern day preschool and educational programs are primarily indoor activity based, adding to the hours children are inside and disconnected from the natural world. It has become the mission of the OWL program to create a balance between indoor versus outdoor time.

Our Elf Owls Tree School program seamlessly blends play based learning in nature's classroom, while also introducing Montessori materials and concepts in our yurt classroom. Parents that register their child for our tree school program are seeking a program that teaches children about the natural world around them through exploration, discovery, and play.

There are moments of wonder and discovery each day here at OWL and your child's safety and well-being are our number one priority. To that end, our child to leader ratio is extremely small and assures your child's safety while they spontaneously play, explore, and engage in cooperative problem solving. Outdoor Woodland Learners is a Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care certified program and our core Leaders are CORI/SORI checked, Registered in the BRC system, and adult and pediatric CPR/First Aid certified

Applications will be entered into our lottery upon receipt and if chosen you will be contacted to set up an appointment to tour our facilities. Our year will begin September 04, 2024 and run until June 13, 2025. If your child is accepted into the program, there is a 10% non-refundable tuition deposit due by June 1, 2024.

**Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Our registration system is lottery based. All applicants will be chosen at random and contacted to set up an interview and tour. Current students have priority registration.
